Xiaomi Redmi 4 Smartphone launched in India, Price starts at Rs. 6,999

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has now launched the new Redmi 4 smartphone in India which the company's new budget smartphone that is priced less than 10,000 INR. This is a Made in India smartphone and it is priced at Rs. 6,999 (2GB+16GB), which makes it one of the best smartphone in this price bracket. The smartphone will be available via Mi.com & Amazon India starting May 23rd. And in total the smartphone will be available in 3 variants i.e with 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB and lastly, 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage and they are priced at 6,999 INR, 8,999 INR & 10,999 INR respectively.

Talking about the specs of this smartphone, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC and it has a 5" HD display on the front with a resolution of 1280 x 720. As mentioned earlier, it comes in 3 variants i.e 2GB, 3GB and 4GB of RAM along with 16GB, 32GB & 64GB of internal storage. The highlight of the smartphone is again the battery and it is powered by a 4,100 mAh battery which should be good for about 2 days according to the company.

In terms of the camera, it has a 13MP rear-facing shooter and on the front, there is a 5MP selfie shooter with beautifying modes. And unlike last year, this year all the Redmi 4 variants will have a fingerprint scanner at the back to unlock your smartphone as well as to protect your apps and the company claims that it can unlock in just about 0.3 seconds. The smartphone has a metal body design and it looks premium for the price. It is running Android 6.0.1 out of the box with the company's custom MIUI on top of it.
